The Atlas Foundation is a charity that offers some of the poorest people on earth a better future through the sport of rugby.
Deborah, aka Birdy, had been supporting the Foundation in providing safety, education, food, sport, community projects and guidance to young people in the townships of South Africa and across five continents. Birdy had met children from the supported projects in Cape Town in 2018 with the England Rugby team. Having seen at first hand the great work the Atlas Foundation does in making young lives better, she was proud to support Silver Hippos Rugby Club, of which she was an active member, in helping the Foundation. If you can, please make a donation in her memory to this worthy rugby-related cause.

Raising a pint for you dear friend.
Deborah “Birdy” Bird, a true Hippo. A dedicated and willing volunteer who did so much for people. Her love for fairness in life and the game of rugby made her a true ambassador to the Atlas foundation. Taking too early, but will be remembered fondly by many.
