Recent storms have led to severe flooding in Cape Town, South Africa, affecting the communities of Masiphumelele and Ocean View, where Atlas South Africa uses rugby and education to give children more opportunities for their future, providing teenagers with the confidence and belief that they can uplift their communities out of the hardships and difficulties they currently face. Many of these children now find themselves without a safe home, as the metal and wooden shacks that they live in have become flooded and are at high risk of damage from the strong winds. For some families, the devastating flooding has left them homeless, with no way to keep themselves warm and dry.
