At The Atlas Foundation, education is at the heart of everything we do. This International Literacy Day, we want to highlight the work being done in Kampong Chhnang, made possible through WAH and StudyCat.
Through a purpose-built language lab, children of Kampong Chhnang have access to an interactive whiteboard, and 25 tablets in class. Through a rotation of classes, the team ensures all students have two sessions in this classroom each week, with two teachers on hand at all times.
Here, children have direct access to literacy resources that would otherwise be out of reach, turning a purpose-built classroom into consistent access to reading and language skills.
We are also excited to share that the programme is piloting an outreach scheme, bringing a mobile classroom to rural areas in Cambodia.
Literacy shouldn’t be a privilege; it should be a given.

We are fortunate enough to have Studycat as a local project partner in Sarawatipur, through Khelo Rugby. It’s a reminder that literacy work should be universal. Through partnerships like this, we’re able to bring the same tools and opportunities to children in different communities.
