A special message from Jason Leonard OBE, Founder and Chairman of The Atlas Foundation:
Ten years on from founding The Atlas Foundation, I am truly amazed by how far we have come. What started as a dream to make a small difference has grown into a global movement focused on supporting children in severe poverty.
I have seen firsthand the deprivation communities face during my travels around the world, and it has been incredible to witness so many people join this mission to help provide food, clean water, education, and create opportunities where it’s needed most.
We have helped thousands of children break free from poverty, but there is still so much more we can do. I am excited for what the future holds as we continue to work alongside inspiring local partners and You, our passionate supporters.
Thank you for your unwavering support in making this mission possible. Together, we are proving that compassion, with action, can truly change lives for the better.

Celebrating 10 Years of The Atlas Foundation: A Decade of Impact and Growth
As The Atlas Foundation proudly celebrates its 10th anniversary, we reflect on a remarkable decade of positive change, global expansion, and unforgettable milestones. From a bold idea to a global movement transforming thousands of young lives, Atlas has grown stronger with each passing year, thanks to our supporters, partners, and passionate Rugby Champions.
2024 saw incredible milestones, including a visit from HRH Prince William to Ocean View Secondary School, where he met Atlas youngsters from Ocean View and Masiphumelele communities. We welcomed Woya as our Official Marketing Partner and launched the TackleLondon initiative with the inaugural Matt Ratana Schools Cup, a House of Commons event, and a dedicated launch. A High Tea at the House of Lords recognised our Project Partners and key supporters, while Atlas Israel and Rugby Israel hosted a reception celebrating community impact.
The past years have been marked by resilience and growth. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Atlas continued to expand, supporting 43 projects across 17 countries and directly impacting 75,000 children by 2021. Events like the World Cup Warriors dinner, Annual Golf Days, and Cape Town Cycle Tour not only raised critical funds but also strengthened our community of champions. Significant expansions, such as the Atlas All Schools Programme reaching Buenos Aires and the establishment of Atlas branches in France and South Africa, further amplified our global reach.
As we celebrate this incredible milestone, we remain committed to breaking the cycle of poverty for children across the world. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Together, we have proven that compassion and action can change lives. Here’s to the next decade of impact!
