We are pleased to announce our partnership with Elixirr, and thank them for their DigiBus Blueprint — turning the tried and tested into a flexible model that will allow The Atlas Foundation to reach more children in more areas.
A Proven Model
Since 2021, the Atlas DigiBus has been transforming access to education in Langa, Cape Town and Kibera, Kenya. The fitted-out bus — complete with laptops, teaching stations and internet connectivity — has grown into a lifeline for thousands of children, travelling between primary schools to deliver vital literacy, numeracy and digital skills support in communities that lack classrooms and resources.
From Success Story to Scalable Model
The DigiBus works. But until now, it has existed as two success stories — Langa and Kibera. Replicating this model elsewhere would have been difficult without a clear, transferable framework.
This is where Elixirr came in.
After a four-week pro-bono period, made possible by the Elixirr Foundation, the Elixirr team has developed the DigiBus Blueprint: a flexible and replicable framework that distils the operating model, partnerships and resourcing that make the DigiBus so effective. This is a new toolkit that can now be adapted and rolled out in new communities across The Atlas Foundation’s reach.
Looking Ahead
For Atlas, this partnership marks more than a one-off contribution. It is a long-lasting move towards building scalable models that can multiply our impact — helping us reach more children, in more areas, for many more years to come.
