Introducing Max Courtis as an Atlas Ambassador

We are delighted to welcome Max Courtis, founder of CurtsCode, to the Atlas family as our newest Atlas Ambassador.

Max on visits to our local partners, Khelo Rugby and Little Sports Organisation.

Telling Rugby's Untold Stories

Max Courtis is the founder of CurtsCode, a platform dedicated to documenting the rugby stories that often go untold. Having represented England Students and played in New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong, Max began using rugby as a way to explore communities around the world and uncover the human stories behind the game.

Through CurtsCode, he has worked with rugby unions, charities and grassroots projects in countries including Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Brazil, combining filmmaking, coaching and storytelling to shine a light on the people and places that are too often overlooked within the sport.

Championing Atlas Communities

Max’s connection with Atlas began through Future Hope and our local partner, Khelo Rugby, in Kolkata, where he witnessed firsthand how rugby can provide young people with confidence, a sense of belonging and opportunities that extend far beyond the pitch.

Since then, Max has also visited our local partner, Little Sports Organisation, in Mombasa, Kenya, and will soon return to Khelo Rugby to continue supporting and documenting the incredible work being carried out there.

As an Atlas Ambassador, Max hopes to visit more of our local partners around the world and use CurtsCode to help tell the stories of the communities we support. Through his work, he will help showcase the transformative impact rugby can have on the lives of children and young people across the globe.

This is an exciting time for Atlas; Max’s mission through CurtsCode aligns synonymously with our own, and we are delighted to welcome him as we continue our shared commitment to improving the lives of disadvantaged children around the world through rugby.

What surprised me most wasn’t the differences between countries, but the similarities. Rugby seems to recreate the same sense of belonging in completely different environments.
