Girly, a young woman from Eswatini, faced rejection and isolation after becoming pregnant while still in school in 2021. In a society shaped by gender inequality and limited education around health issues, her future seemed uncertain.

However, through her early involvement with SKRUM, an Atlas supported project, Girly found confidence, life skills, and hope.

Now a role model and coach, Girly is helping young girls in Eswatini see that one setback doesn’t define their future and that they, too, can lead empowered, purposeful lives.
