Creating change for young Londoners with TackleLondon

TackleLondon helps children overcome Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s) and trauma through regular rugby training sessions, giving them weekly contact with a healthy role model, and a reliable trusted adult in their coaches. Bringing them into the rugby community gives them a sense of purpose and belonging that is crucial to overcoming the challenges associated with ACE’s.

Research clearly shows that experiencing multiple ACE’s, such as growing up in poverty, neglect, or an abusive environment, makes it far more likely that a child will experience Health Harming Behaviours. Children who experience multiple ACE’s are much more likely to suffer from addiction and mental health problems, and often see no choice but to turn to drugs and crime, believing they have no chance of a better future.

TackleLondon are helping these children through the power of rugby, transforming their outlook on life, giving them a chance to fulfill their potential. With your help we can create a fairer society for young Londoners.
