To assist and inspire children through Rugby

Stonners has been an avid supporter of the Atlas foundation for many years raising much needed money to transform the lives of disadvantage children around the world. This will be his 3rd trek with Jason and biggest challenge yet for Atlas having previously climbed mount Sandakphu (3,636m) in the Himalayas and Oldonyo Lesatima Peak (4001m) in Kenya. In Kenya he witnessed first hand the extreme poverty that children live in at Kibera, Nairobi one of the biggest slums in the world and also the food programme and school that the Atlas Foundation has funded to give the children some hope in life.

I am doing this run in honour of a good friend who regrettably passed away in 2016, this run will hopefully go a long way in reaching the target of £40,000

Having supported Jason Leonard OBE since the very start of The Atlas Foundation in 2014, I (My lovely Wife & wonderful Kids actually) felt it was necessary to do something more challenging, than Golf, Cycling, Lunching and to give me a focus to get fit and healthy for 2025 !

Having grown up and visited many African countries I have seen first hand what it means to come from a disadvantaged background and have witnessed children living in extreme poverty. I understand the challenges and barriers many children face in accessing education, healthcare, and basic needs such as clean running water and just one meal a day, which is why I have chosen to raise funds for the Atlas Foundation.

In memory of Craig Hunter, raising funds for TackleLondon

This year’s London Marathon falls on the fifth anniversary of the Colombo bombings in which Ben lost his wife Anita and children, Alex and Annabel. Ben is running to raise funds for their Memorial Fund and for Muscular Dystrophy UK.

You are making a positive difference through sports mentoring and making Young Londoners part of the "Rugby Family" and giving them a "Rugby Home" where they can feel confident, grow and prosper. Young people need help, now more than ever.

About a year ago my mate @Ben Nicholson suggested we run the London marathon to recognise that 5 years have passed since Anita, Annabel and Alex ⭐️⭐️⭐️ were taken from us. In their memory I aim to raise as much money as I can for The Atlas Foundation whose projects support children and give them the opportunity to thrive through rugby communities and initiatives.

Sadly on 7th August, Beryl Jones died after a short illness. Beryl (or Mum/Nana) was a truly wonderful woman who brought joy to so many around her. Her funeral will take place on 25th August in a place that she spent a lot of time documenting death markers!
Beryl asked that any donations in her memory be made to the Motor Neurone Disease Association (in memory of her brother Ray) or Tanzania Rugby Development via Ed’s Fund with Bhubesi Pride/Atlas Foundation (in memory of her grandson Ed). Y

I am one of Ed's older sisters and his wonderful friends and family continue to try new ways of raising money for the Atlas Foundation and Tanzania Rugby Development Program. My next challenge is a White Collar Boxing Match on the 24th March, something I think Ed would find absolutely hilarious and be so proud of me for. I miss him and can't wait to do this for him and the amazing work the money raised will do for TRD.

2 years ago Pete aka Norm did the seemingly insane for a 52 year old with a dodgy back and even dodgier hip. He took on the challenge to run 100 kilometers in one go. He is doing it again. Atlas raises money for so many deserving people in all parts of the deprived world I feel it is important to remember that the economic crisis is hitting even the poorest in the world, giving them a doubling down of hardships. I hope you can donate generously and help provide some care.

HEART SCREENING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN SWANSEA

I am taking part in the IRONMAN WALES Race on Sunday 11th Sept 2022! I'm raising money for The Ian Williams Foundation Fund to provide heart screening to young people in Swansea!

The Richmond Heavies Foundation Defibrillator Fund aims to provide defibrillators to rugby clubs and communities who cannot afford this lifesaving device.

Richmond rugby club has personal experience of how valuable defibrillators can be.
