International Day of Play is a global recognition of the power and importance of play. It is a universal language, a cornerstone of childhood, and a fundamental right that we are committed to protecting for children around the world.

This World Environment Day and World Oceans Day, The Atlas Foundation is celebrating the inspiring work of Little Sports Organisation in Kenya, where young people are leading efforts to tackle plastic pollution, protect marine ecosystems, and create lasting environmental change in their communities.

On 29 January 2026, the Atlas Foundation officially launched the second Atlas Digi Bus – now rebranded as the Digi-AI Bus – marking an important milestone in expanding access to digital education in Kenya.

On January 20, the first tournament of the year took place as part of the Tag Rugby Coexistence Programme in Haifa, Israel, to mark International Day of Peaceful Coexistence. The event demonstrated how sport can bring young people together across cultural and social divides, even in challenging times.

The Atlas Foundation is proud to announce a new partnership with Far & Wild Travel and our local partner, Little Sports Organisation Kenya. Together, we are supporting disadvantaged children in Mombasa, Kenya, to access safe, high-quality education, giving children a genuine chance to break the cycle of poverty and the opportunity to thrive.

This winter, fields across five locations in India were transformed into hubs of energy, teamwork and possibility as Khelo Rugby delivered its annual Winter Camp.

In recognition of over 30 years of raising charitable funds and services to rugby, Richard “Juggler” Austin has been honoured in the 2026 New Years Honours list to become a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
